Is where the game makes the fake savefile after the first ending. I found it really hard to find as I didn't know it made a folder there. The only things there are are other savefiles from other games. So it would make sense to put it there, right? Yes! But I've looked at that folder during my playthrough and didn't see it there so I assumed there would be nothing there.

If it wasn't for the steam cloud I might have acually deleted my savefile...
That's kind of bad design...

If it's not in Documents / My Games / OneShot, then go to %appdata% / Roaming / OneShot
and move the save.dat to your desktop (NOT the Oneshot folder)

When you get the first ending, if you relaunch the game, you should get a wallpaper that tells you to delete that save file and it tells you it's in Documents/MyGames/OneShot.

It didn't change it. So I had nothing to go off and just googled it.

Well I am 100% sure something happened if you did something. It was probably by opening _____.exe again.

It told me to delete the savefile but not where it put the fake savefile.

Well _____.exe is located in Documents/MyGames/OneShot (also in steamapps but you were told before that you had to look for ______.exe in Documents/MyGames/OneShot so at this point you should be aware of this folder) and since the fake save file is in the same folder, it's pretty intuitive.

Before it creates the fake savefile the folder does not exist. I looked there before to see if anything is there and it wasn't so I assumed there wouldn't be anything there later.

The folder is created once the entity puts Niko to sleep and you are told that the game is finished and you should go. Then after that your wallpaper changes to a note telling you to go to Documents/MyGames/OneShot and open the game while the clover icon is activated. Before that the folder didn't exist, but after that it is never deleted so you are definitly aware of its presence one you've done the first ending.

tbh, the only time I got confused was when in Glen when I had to look for the pattern on my desktop but since I had Wallpaper Engine on, it covered it up so I had to turn it off.

Really bad design is the "not generating the code file " in the first place. The folder "One Shot" isn't existing for me (documents/mygames).
Since I can't proceed in the game any further I have requested a refund. I want my 7€ back. And the little time with looking for a solution for that problem. Im not investing any more time in such things. If a game works, it is fine. If not, bye-bye for the game.

you know,the game itself says the save might be in didfferent spot. it depends on how you set your pc up.
you are pretty rude about this, glad you refunded this, you missed out on a wonderful game experience because you don't knwo how to PC properly.

But thanks for nothing I guess.

I will give the game another try, when it is way cheaper. After two more years or something like that.
But because something said something bad about a game you like, you surely have to gone a bit mad. The internet-syndrom i guess.
