You'd need to learn what code RPG maker can use to look up making dialogue boxes, if I'm assuming correctly, you could open command prompt and probably force your computer to give you a dummy OK text box.

I don't know if this helps at all, I am very much so aware of unofficial patches to RPG Maker 2003 (things like DynRPG) so my guess is that they used some sort of patch. What I need to find out is what that patch is.

It seems that by article 2 under supplimental provisions says modifications can "only be distributed under the User for the purpose of the user's game."
Which in that case, the devs cannot give you that modification. There may be a possibility they could help you with a lead to make something similar for your own game, but the actual modded code can't be transferred.
