The in-game computer told me I need to find a code in a document external from the game, thus implying that it should be in the game's desktop folder, or that I should flat-out look it up online.

I don't want to do the latter, but the doc isn't in the game folder, so I don't know what else to try.

So I found the code, after the in-game computer mocked me for not knowing where to look. I looked in... a lot of wrong places. I almost never use the Documents folder on my machine's primary hard drive, okay?

Plain old documents folder... though i think some people did report it "materializing" in their microsoft onedrive documents folder instead for one reason or another.

I'm having the same issue!
I literally cannot find the document to open the safe to get the supposed gas mask. Its driving me nuts.

Check your "Documents" folder. The full filepath is normally like "C:\Users\GIR\Documents" (but instead of GIR your username goes there).

I still can't find it, I'm in the documents and I literally cannot see it in there.
I checked even my OneDrive since I heard it can materialize there somehow.
Is it ______.exe?

Try sorting the files in your documents folder by "date modified", it can help to find it faster.

It's a text file titled "DOCUMENT.oneshot".

answer: press the 4 squares on the bottom left and click search and type oneshot and it should be there

I searched up document.oneshot and that came up with the text file with the code in. If you're having the problem of not being able to find it, just search that in your files.

Mine doesn't even tell me that. It says, and I quote: Permission Denied @ rb_sysopen - C\Users\(myname)\Documents\DOCUMENT.oneshot.txt

Try running the game as an administrator, it sounds like it doesn't have the necessary permissions to create the file.

How do I do that? Sorry, i'm crap at using computers, heh.

Find the application "oneshot.exe" in the game's local files, right click it and go to "Properties", and then in the compatibility tab check the option that says "Run this program as an administrator"
