Niko Gender?

So, I've played through the game once now and the entire time i was playing I saw Niko as a girl, but I've also seen people call Niko a him. Did I miss something, or is their gender ambiguous on purpose?

In russian they called themselves as a boy (there are no they/them analogues, so while translating to russian, you should always make a strong decision about that kind of stuff). I don't think translators didn't ask devs about it, so that might mean he is more likely to be a boy, rather than a girl. But that's REALLY doesn't matter for a story, after all.

Just look it up. Niko has been stated by Eliza to have an ambiguous gender, and Nightmargin an unknown gender. There are instances in The World Machine version of OneShot (as well as certain trailers for the game) where Niko is referred to using singular they/them pronouns.
