Should I play this version or the free version??
I've seen that this game is avalaible now to buy now in steam, but I have this game already in the free version (I didn't played yet). So should I play the free version that I have downloaded or should I buy and play this new version???

By all means, the free version- especially if it's complete. ;) Buying it is for those poor sods who collect achievements, or if you want to support the devs.

The Steam version is massively expanded in basically every way. You should definitely buy it, especially since there's new content planned for release in March.
Depends, the free version is more of a one shot experience (Quit out during any time and that's the end of your game.) while the paid version allows you to save out and quit.
Why not both? :os_pancakes:

In all honesty the freeware version is ugly. The fonts are unreadable and some of the art has horrible dithering. The gameplay is largely improved too, you don't have to reopen the menu 3 times to combine two items...

actually, the steam version is a lot better, and it has solstice...
Get a font patch and play the free one, but you need A LOT OF TIME or you are going to find yourself facing a lot of killing niko moments.

the free version is missing the second half of the game, buy the game to get the true ending.
I don't understand the point. If the game is called OneShot, and you're only supposed to play it once, why bother paying for it?

That was the point but the Steam version is improved in several ways, and if the player could only play it once theen paying for it would be rip ooff. The game still works really well even if you can play it more than once the Oneshot aspect still exists. If you actually complete the game with the Solstice update.I will not spoil the ending of that. And Solstice gives a more stisfying ending while still being bittersweet. [spoiler/]

The free version was created in 2014 for a contest. After the good feedback, the devs chose to improve it in a non-RPG maker version ("the Steam version"). The Steam version is the same game but it have better narration, dialogue and better charaters (quality and quantity).
Moreover the Steam version have new area, and the existed area have been rebuild to creat a better universe.
You also have more content, better mecanics for puzzle, easter eggs, autosave, better interface and readable font used.
The Steam version deserve you spend money on it.

Buy it. The Steam version is the only version that has the Solstice Update, and therefore, the true ending. And this is the ending to end all endings. How game endings should be done. So yeah, this is a no-brainer. Support the devs and buy this amazing game.

Hey, this was posted YEARS ago, stop bumping it.

Not like there's any rules on Steam about bumping old topics.
