Scissors ?

So I'm stuck at the Refuge. I read somewhere that I need scissors to cut the metal can open and that I can find a pair in a bathroom in the appartments. Am I crazy or isn't there any bathroom in the appartments ?? I'm sure I'm missing something super obvious but I've been stuck for a while now... help !
