Elevator Help

Hey there. I'm probably missing something stupid obvous, but on the elevator section where you need to get the button to work to go down, I have the button and the code on the film (which was annoying in it of itself to figure out). I've talked to every NPC with every item equipped, and nothing. The guy there keeps telling me I need something magnetic. What am I supposed to do exactly?

I got fridge magnets from one of the rooms in the apartments. Where did you get the button?

Heyo. I got the button by using the can of coffee (from the cafe) and using it with the scissors found in the bathroom. Fridge magnets? Thanks, I'll look again.

Yeah, I got the magnets from the room with the bookshelves and the TV-head-guy. And thanks for your help too.

Uh, exactly what spot did you find the magnets? Like, specifically where, what room, how, etc. I swear I've pressed check on every single tile on this entire map and nothing has happened.

So when you quick travel it'll be in the area called appartments, which, is on the upper-left bridge from the elevator. So once you are in the appartments take the staircase down three rooms to the left of the entrance. Go down and to the left and you should be in a kitchen like thing; the magnets are on a fridge. ( i have been trying to get the code on the film still lol)

It's also in the apartments; go into them, then a room to the left, then down those stairs.

Once your contrapion breaks appart, use tape on it. Also, at the entrance where you meet the big robot. You can walk past him if you have the corn equipped.

A'ight, for the button, just get some scissors in tha' public bathroom an' some kiddy magnets in the cafeteria. Get some duck tape or whateva' ya' yanks call it and tape the disgrace together. Push it into tha' button hole and voila.
For tha' code, get the weird film from tha' dodgy computa' an' drag the window of ya' game off screen (i.e. drag it very far right on your actual computer). Then, tha' code should light up like a bonfia' on November 5th. Go punch tha' bugga' into the code thingy n' ya done.

but where do you get the duck tape thats what im stuck on
