I'm bored... so... Niko is Male or Female?

I see everyone saying two diferent things, but I will assume that Niko is what you want.

When you say that Neko mean cat in Japanese. Niko could be turn out to be a Nekomata.

it's a posibility that's what Niko is based on, but I doubt they are one. Nekomata have a much stronger resembelence to cats, seeing as their entire face takes more of a feline look, with the face extending at the nose. Here's a picture of one[upload.wikimedia.org]. Niko has more of a human face with cat eyes and a cat mouth.

Have saw one that make them look more like human. Even those just japanese games. I been playing Disgaea or Touhou games by the way. There other game too. But kinda lazy to even think about them right now.

Nekos are not genderless like legendary pokemon (whose genders are just unexistent). Niko has a gender but any indications of it are ambiguous on purpose so the players decide for themselves.

Well... good for you. Lot of things in life don't matter. It still mentions that Niko is a possible alternate form of "Nicole" which also means that Niko is not only a short of a male name. Lastly, you said name is finnish but it is a name of greek nature according to internet. Just saying...

Well, I actually researched about it in order to know what I talk about. All this just resumes to the same conclusion: devs were smart enough to choose an ambiguous name for their neko. :P

Also it's a bit cute that the name itself, in OneShot's context, comes from the Tesla guy. (Tesla which is directly related to a light bulb). There is a little more to it but we can see well where the devs took their inspiration to make this wonderful game. They really did an amazing job with it.

Well, it's up to you. It's entirely your choice, after all. If you thought it was a male then yeah, it's as fine as if you thought it was a female. None of the choices are really wrong. :D

Since I knew the game was going for the ambiguous style, I just go for "Niko is a female" on my side, though my choice really barely matters as the focus of the game isn't the gender. :P
