Entering the basement

i have the basement key but when i enteract with the door it gives me the picture of a lock and nothing happens and whenever i interact with it i get taken back to te overworld... this may be because oneshot is shared with me but i was wondering if im missing something super obvious

This is not the basement, this is the front door. The basement is on the right of the living room.

The basement door is not the door that shows a picture of a "lock".

Don't feel bad I thought the same thing on my first run. You'll realize what it actually is soon enough :)
