[SPOILER] When does the Solstice chapter trigger?
So I cleared all saves and played the game again. After the first playthrough I could immediately trigger the Solstice ending since I got that strange journal. Is that always the case? My first OneShot playthrough was pretty close to the Solstice Update and on my second playthrough were I didn't have the journal (I think) the big watch only showed 1 hour left but later I could enter the code which apperently would have just startet the game again, this time with the journal.

It seems a bit strange that you can immediately start the Solstice playthrough after just one playing through the game once. In the mines when Niko learns that you brought him back it sounds like you did it multiple times and not just once...
Also in the previous playthrough I didn't accompany the ruin kids back to their place so Niko never learns that you can simply kick that rock out of the way but he acted as if he remembers that.

Your suspicions are correct, after Solstice is installed, the second playthrough will always equal a Solstace run. A few notes on your other comments:

-Progressing through the game requires you to have the strange journal from the barrens, there is no way around having it.
-In the mines when it's implied that Niko has been to the world multiple times, from what I understand the OneShot simulation has been passing from host to host (player to player) for quite a long time, which is refferencing the fact that multiple people out there play OneShot and are all accessing the same world and the same Niko.
-Following the siblings back to their hideout is actually required to complete a run as it is the only way to aquire the Glowing Feather needed later. So no matter how the previous run was completed, Niko definately saw how to get past the rock.

But the rock is simply gone and NIko doesn't see how it was removed when you don't follow the ruin kids after they invite you.
If I'm not mistaken there were some minor changes on my second playthrough before I got the Solstice chapter on my third playthrough. Wouldn't it be better to have the Solstice initiate after the third playthrough instead immediatly after the first? In my opinion it feels too soon when you only start playing OneShot after the update.

The reason is that the simulation has been running for some time (being played by players) and as the game puts it: "has been getting worse and worse as time goes on" more and more things are getting corrupted between executions to the point that by the time You, specifically, ran the simulation, it's degraded beyond repair and you get the solstice run of having to deal wioth the now completely ruined world.

This has actually happened a number of times throughout the game's development. Niko used to die if you closed the game, but the simulation was improved to account for this. Several other events have changed for players as the game has progressed and this is one of them.

Bottom line: Solstice was created for the fans who stuck with the game from the start.

Anyone else is going to miss part of the impact.

No one from this day forth will see the wireframe room and the author's note that Rue discovered, for instance.

That sounds pretty dumb. Why wouldn't you want others to experience the whole game? Why can't you have that time door locked again on the second playthrough with a 1hour timer or something like that (fun fact that's how it was when I played it and didn't even know what that timer means xD).

Oneshot is a game that essentially involves the entire community in its progress. As a sort of experimental game. It's simply the way it is for it to change over time.

How is the community involved in the game? Its just the story of Niko and someone that starts the world simulation on his pc. In the games context Niko is a real person but in reality he's just a character creates by the game. So me, the player, is the only one involved in the game.
When I start my second playthrough then it's my second playthrough and Niko didn't experience the events more than once on someone else pc.

It's the ARG tradition. Hiding secret messages on websites and such.

Once the game is over, it can't be redone.

You kinda only get... OneShot.

That is not true, you can still replay the game as many times as you want (I'm in the Refuge right now on my 2nd run), you only trigger a Solstice run by doing a VERY specific thing, in a VERY specific place.
