One word: Multiplayer !
I know that this game has a hidden hotseat for single battles. Well that is awesome. But guys, honestly. This is the game I have been waiting for since Great Naval Battles back in 90s. This is simply the best of its kind with a massive potential for future franchise. The ported graphics isn't the greatest, but that is a minor issue. I think in order to really blow out the mind, you should think about online multiplayer function fo REAL. This can be a true gamechanger. I am going to review this game for a magazine next week and would really love to hear from you that this functionality is in planning :)

It it could easily have a coop campaing - imagine the wolfpacks of submarines managed in simultainous turns with others. Or even have more sophistacted strategic map for two players going in campaign head on. After reading posts of other players, I found this to be a common sentiment so guys please, make this happen ! We know you can !

Best Regards Six

Or imagine waiting 1/2 hour for someone to make a move?
I foresee many people quitting in the midst of a game.

I could see a co-op mode where friends take ships in a battle group and play the AI.

Most turn based games I've played online instituted a time limit per turn.

Any of them popular?
It would be asking a lot to implement MP in this game and then will we put up the servers or are you expecting Killerfish to pay for them too?

I rather see some additional features for creating custom battles and maybe having steam workshop to share the custom setups (or even custom campaigns). Though for the €10 I am content with the game as it is.

There is no reason to have dedicated game servers in a simple turnbased game structure. They can simply be networked through direct P2P hosting. Also, the turn based multiplayer games I have played on Steam which instutute a turn time limit are XCOM, Battlelore, Battlefleet 2, Frozen Synapse, and Memoir 44.

I'd love to play this game against a friend, the first and hardest fought battle would be : who pick the Kriegsmarine ?

Ever heard of Advance Wars? Was super popular when Nintendo WiFi Connection was still up.

We agree and online multiplayer is something that we are considering.
As a small self-funded studio we have to pick our battles (pun intended) and ensure we can get games finished with the resources on hand. Online multiplayer would have significantly extended development time for a game (and a studio) untested in the PC space.

Rather than get too ambitious and release vaporware, unfinished or buggy titles, we're taking it step-wise to see how each of our games are received, reacting to player feedback, deciding the next steps and using game sales to fund those next steps:
Pacific Fleet -> Atlantic Fleet -> Atlantic Fleet PC Edition -> *insert dream naval game here*

Amazing, I think this franchise will get a massive following community after the multiplayer and is only great you are considering it. In the end it could end up as a MMO (joking).

Dream naval game would already be Altlantic Fleet 2 running on of the latest engines with in depth strategic map of Atlantic with extensive modding support and emphasis on multiplayer !
