If someone with skinning skills can make an uncensored version I can insert them back into the game.

There are games that have them. It's just a "convention" that is voluntarily "mandatory", if you catch my drift. An historical product always is allowed to reflect historical accuracy. Witness all the movies that flood the screen with nazi emblems. See "Valkyrie" for example. Historical gamers need to start rejecting these products that insult their intelligence with historical censorship. We aren't children. And children don't need historical censorship either for that matter.
I wouldn't know how that artwork could be repaired satisfactorily. The design team should provide at the very least a download of uncensored artwork to be substituted by those who are insulted by their historical revisionism. Let the babies have the pablum if they want, but provide the real material for those who care. But I'm sure their intention is to deny the historical emblems due to their own political slant.
While the Swastika is allowed for documentaries and in other historical contexts, it is illegal for use with toys and games in some countries. Computer games fall into this category.
Since our games are made for an international audience, we had to abide by these limitations.
But thanks for chiming in reasonably. That's appreciated. :)

What say you?
I'd also say you're making a mountain out of a molehill and need to get over it or move on.
But seriously, what does it matter? So what if the Swastika is not in. I could hardly care less. I think it is quite stupid to censor it, proper education is how you prevent people from becoming Neo-Nazi freaks. But the law is the law.
By the way devs, for the UK, can there be a chance that German planes there get shot down by aircraft even when the allies have no carriers there? The RAF maintained air superiority over the UK and its waters throughout the war, and bombing convoys was no laughing matter for the Stuka pilots that did it. All too often they had Hurricanes in their midst shooting them down. It just seems a little silly to see 7-8 Stukas attacking a convoy after the Battle of Britain, and while they are really easy to down with AA, with would be nice for there to be some fighters too.
Because as you've made clear, you're one of the barbarians who explicitly or implicitly are responsible for this political censorship. People like you richly deserve the society and anti-culture you claim to desire. If only you could have it without condemning the rest of us to your misery.
No one is pretending that it did not happen. The fact that the entire game is about the Nazis trying to sink allied transports and the Royal Navy trying to stop them is a testament to that. How is not including the Swastika a cover up? It is merely abiding with the laws of certain countries, like Germany, and really does not matter. You lot are making a mountain out of a molehill. Sure, there are ways around the ban, like region specific free DLCs, but thr devs cannot be bothered to make them, and I support that since it is a waste of time. Cry all you want, and pretend to have the morale high ground, but at the end of the day you idiots are arguing for the inclusion of the flag of the greatest failed state of the century.
Give it all to us free and unadulterated. This symbol was not censored prior to this century. If it was alright to "see it" before that, closer to the events where it existed, and if it's alright to see it liberally in movies, what earthly reason is there to hide it in historical simulations, no matter how insignificant the product? This "ban" applies to ALL such products, not just this one title.
