it's a game after all , fun factor is a must and having a great beast in the waters is really fun imo
you can't cry about immersion and realism when you heal from a cup of tea and survive watersprouts every few minutes.
Fun factor is a must, yes, but what's fun for one person is not always fun for another, and saying that sipping tea to heal and a giant fantasy kraken are the same thing is a bit far fetched.
