The game began as a very decent adventure, but near the end it devolved into QTE feeding frenzy at -20 AGI and -20 DEX modifiers. Such a shame.

I love Cthonic point and clicks, and this one was great up until near the end of the game where it turns into a series of very annoying quick time events. Think "USE ITEM" and having to hit the exact few pixels to make things work. Stopped playing after that.

Liked how the game started out but found it a bit clunky at times, having to refer to a walk through when getting stuck. Felt some of the cut scenes seemed to last a bit long, but others might not mind. Got stuck with the Gilman Hotel QTE and taking a break after trying a million times and it seeming even harder in easy mode...might come back to it later, but feeling too annoyed to keep trying right now

More of a rant than a review...The game for the most part was decent but at the end of the game there is a really long and aggravating timed reflex event where you can die at several points. While it lets you try again without having to replay too much it just stopped being fun. 90% of the game was point & click so I don't understand why they would end the game with this kind of puzzle without at least a skip option. I almost could not finish the game and clearly I was not going to be entitled to a refund at this point.

I would give this a thumbs-up if only I didn't get stuck, followed all the guides and am still stuck most likely due to an error. I posed this in the discussion board with no reply. Hopefully the developer will see it here!
I'm stuck with train guy!
I have the 1st 4 locations open and have everything possible but cannot get the train guy to talk about the Train times or Model trains. The only 2 options are the 1st 2 lines. Help!

Yet again I am completely unable to finish this game. QTEs and constantly dying have no place in an adventure game. I really wish devs would not mix different genre within the same game.

Fun idea: Lovecraft meets Monkey Island. My inner teenage self would be freakin frothing.

You know what could torpedo such an enticing prospect? The fact that this thing is broken as hell. "Broken" with a capital "♥♥♥♥ this." There are at least 4 different spots where the aging AGS engine is in full, unrepentantly obsolete display and if one of them doesn't get you, there's at least 3 more chances to be reminded that not even the most diesel, ♥♥♥♥-hottinest rig can run Every Single Game.

Too much pixel hunting. I'm stuck to a point it's not fun anymore. I've already forgotten the story. I've been watching someone doing what I have to do on YouTube and I don't seem to hit the right pixel, literally. It's frustrating. Also, the story you develop while playing is VERY loosely based on Lovecraft. I mean, they use the names and the aesthetics and everything, but the story (seen as the sequence of actions you perform to advance in the game) has nothing to do with the literary works.
