Next week, you’ll be able to get your hands on Horde of the Reich, an extra game mode coming to Nekome: Nazi Hunter, with a free demo during Steam Next Fest.

Your job is simple: survive 25 increasingly brutal stages and set the highest score you can.

Go quiet. Get into a brawl. Steal a gun. Grab whatever you can find and use it as a weapon, or just keep stabbing...that works too!

Horde of the Reich includes:

• 25 stages of increasingly challenging combat

• Stealth, brawling and gunplay

• New skills to unlock as you progress

• Improvised weapons to get creative with

• High scores to set - and then beat

This is an early test of the mode, so we want to hear what you think. What worked, what didn’t, what broke, and just how far you managed to make it.

Play the Nekome: Nazi Hunter demo FREE on Steam from October 19–26 during Steam Next Fest.

Go f*!# up some Nazis. Then help us make the game better. 🔪

Hello everyone and welcome to the second Dev Log for Nekome: Nazi Hunter! In Log #1 we introduced you to Vano Nastasu, a Romani survivor hunting the monsters responsible for murdering his family.

From the trailers and gameplay we’ve released, you know that you’ll be cutting a bloody path through the game - but there are multiple ways to achieve your goals! In today’s Dev Log we’ll be checking them out.

If you prefer your Dev Logs in video form, please check out the link below:

As an indie studio, wishlists are incredibly important to us. The more we get, the more visible the game becomes and the more people discover it. So if you could head on over to the Steam page and click the wishlist button we would really appreciate it.

In Nekome: Nazi Hunter we have designed a robust combat and stealth system that allows you to approach the game on your own terms. Do you want to sneak around and take down the Nazis one by one without making a sound? Or do you want to kick down the doors of the regime and dish out bloody vengeance face to face with your enemies?

One of our biggest goals is that there is no correct answer. We give you the tools to do either, or combine them however you see fit. In some missions there is a clear route to victory, but in others we give you the freedom to forge your own path - you might find a quieter way around enemy patrols, take a more dangerous shortcut, or simply fight your way through if that's your preferred style.

Let's take a closer look at the skills you’ll have to master to succeed in both playstyles, starting with the stealth mechanics.

For players who prefer a quieter (but no less violent) approach, we've added mechanics that encourage planning instead of rushing.

You can crouch to remain hidden from enemies unless they look directly at you, making it easier to move through dangerous areas unnoticed. If an enemy is blocking your path, you can “throw” a whistle to distract them and create an opportunity to maneuver without starting a fight.

To help with planning, you'll also be able to sense nearby enemies through walls. This isn't intended to remove the challenge, but rather to give you the information needed to think ahead and avoid simply walking into danger.

Together, these mechanics, along with silent takedowns are meant to make stealth feel deliberate and satisfying.

Stealth isn't your only option. If you'd rather fight your way through, Nekome: Nazi Hunter is built to let you do exactly that.

Enemies will try to surround and overwhelm you, but you can parry attacks from multiple directions, break the guard of overly defensive foes, and chain together slashing attacks and powerful kicks to stay in control.

If an enemy is carrying a firearm, you can snatch it from them and use whatever ammunition they had left. With bullets being limited, every shot counts.

Once you've worn an enemy down, you can terminate them with a brutal finisher. No matter how many Nazis fill a room, the combat is designed to let skilled players give them the bloody end they deserve.

Sometimes, they deserve even more than that…

I hope you’ve enjoyed this glimpse of what we have in store for you in Nekome: Nazi Hunter. What we’ve shown so far is only the beginning! If you'd like to keep up with the latest progress, join the Discord community where we'll be sharing updates, previews, and announcements as they're ready.

Hold up, wasn't the title of this Dev Log “One target, many ways in” ??? All we’ve seen so far is the soulless faces of random Nazi soldiers. What is this “One Target” about? In the next Dev Log we’ll be taking a look at the real villains of Vano’s story: Hitler’s Hyenas.

Don’t forget to wishlist - Bye for now!
