"Can't parse project" error message usually appears when you try to open a new project with an older version of Home Design 3D, but since you have reinstalled it, you have the latest version (4.2.2:305), don't you?
Just to be sure, does Home Design 3D close when you open a project? Or when you switch from 2D to 3D? Or when you do something else?
Could you also tell us your pc configuration please?
Windows 10 is the answer to the question I think you're asking.
Please help me understand these issues.
We still have a question: do you know if you do anything in particular each time just before Home Design 3D freezes (for example switch from 2D to 3D, move to the upper/lower floor...)
As for your pc configuration/specs, we need more info:
- the processor (Open Settings, click on System, click on About)
- RAM (same)
- Windows version (same)
- Graphic card (how to know which Graphic card you have https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tDEvxjZG5ek )
If you have an Intel HD Graphic, we know Home Design 3D is not fully compatible with them and we are working on it.
Regarding your problem for items floating between different floors, it may be because you didn't create a flooring on the upper floor. When creating a floor, you need to:
- create a ground floor (create a room)
- go up
- create a room or land
- place objects
If you didn't create a room or a land on the upper floor, you won't be able to place objects on it and they may be floating because of this.
Please let us know if it helps you
No, there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to when HD3D freezes.
- processor...Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4510U CPU @ 2.00GHz 2.60GHz
- RAM...6.00GB
- Version...Windows 10 Home
- Graphics card....Intel(R) HD Graphics Family
Re: Floating items...Got it. I have learned how to place objects. Problem is that they are placed and I can switch 2D-3D and visit-arial and they remain on the floor they are placed but then, as the freezing, for no apparent reason they float. There again this may be because the Intel(R) graphics card.
I have also noticed missing floors from below in visit mode, however the floor in arial mode is there.
Thank you for your time and attention.
Re: Floating items
It would help us understand if you could send us screenshots or videos of what you mean when they float for no reason. Is the floor still there? Could you send us your project with floating items after the freeze at community@homedesign3d.net ?
It looks like your objects are not in the room you created upstairs, this is why they appear floating from below. We don't know why it happens though because they should be snapping on the floor you are currently working... We hope we'll be able to fix it in the next update
