I only see "Take Picture" and "Import Image" -- no option to import a .hd3d file
Hi,
hd3d files aren't just a picture, it contains a full project that you will be able to modify. You should be able to open it by double clicking on it, if the file association isn't done with Home Design 3D, then you can do a right clik on your hd3d file and select "Open with", here choose the Home Design 3D application (you may have to browse to specify the binary path).
The binary path of Home Design is :
YOUR_STEAM_INSTALLATION_FOLDER\SteamApps\common\Home Design 3D\Bin\vs2015-x64\Release\HomeDesign.exe
I hope it helps.
Just to add to it for others viewing this thread in the future: be sure to have the Steam client running first, then double click the hd3d file. It then opens in Home Design 3d perfectly.
I am glad that it helps.
Can't you open hd3d files when Home Design isn't already running? Because it should works too, the only restriction it has, is that Home Design should be launched once to create the hd3d file association with this application.
