it's a pity but no :( But may i suggest to try Sweet Home 3D (free and export in .obj available)
Home Design 3D is more for home decoration and indoor/outdoor architecture design.
Sweet Home 3D is rather for modeling your home in 3D.
It just depends on what your needs are really :)
Even though your point is understandable, it would be a great improvement to the app if there were more export options, so we could improve on the 3D project as we'd like. It really is a shame that there is no option to export the model to other applications so we can create a more advanced render, using proper illumination and material textures. As OlaHaldor pointed out, you are losing clients with such limitations on a great and easy to use 3D Modeler.
