Invincible Enemies

I seem to have encountered a problem in the Moutain Pass, some of the enemies have become invincible and won't die no matter how many times I hit them. I have tried searching online and while I've seen one or two people with this problem I haven't seen any fixes for it. Does anyone know of a fix?

I'm having the same problem in Mountain Tower. Spamming top level Herne seems to help a bit, but even he doesn't get them all the time.

Heh, I tried 100x damage cheat code on them too. Ineffective.

Leaving and re-entering the area almost seemed to work, but then it started happening again at the third fight.

Managed to barrel through the first level by spamming Herne. Second level seemed fine, but then there was a cutscene and the unkillables started appearing again. My theory is that there's some sort of cutscene invulnerability that fails to turn off properly when the cutscene ends. If so, why didn't I encounter this bug earlier then?

My other, more paranoid theory, is that this is a some sort of devious copy protection scheme that is now affecting paying customers.

Stopped happening and you haven't needed to restart from a previous save or anything? Hm... maybe I'll just try to play through and see if I can blow past it. Emailed InXile and have received no response from them so that seems like a no go. I guess I got the game for free so it isn't a huge deal but since they appear to be re-releasing the game on a bunch of different platforms you would think that such a huge bug would have been worked out of the system by now.

Yeah, beat the game. There was another case of unkillable enemies later on, but I was able to just run past them.
