Little questions about the candles

So far i get it the candles mean there is still something to do? but one door the candles are already burned out and the door still have a light, so far i get it, it means there is still a ghost to banish? but what have the candles then for a meaning?

some candles are items you have to fetch like the needles if you dont collect all needles you wont be able to have the 100%

So candles are just side stuff? and the door light goes when all ghosts are gone?

and is there a mean when a candle is fully gone? (one burned down, one is completly gone)

the candles means the room is incomplete once the candle is complete burned down is because you done everything you should defeat the mistress serpent does not mean you have finish the game only when you do everything banish all ghosts and collect all needles and after that try to use the mirror at the hallway when Linda touch that mirror than you have finished the game. If you have any trouble you can check YT for the location of the needles but these are not hard to find.

i already beat it, i just was wondering because, on one door all candles was burned down, but the door itselfs had still a light and there was a ghost to defeat.
