In 1-4, there's a vertical shaft where you have to jump back and forth up purple platforms that'll fall after you land on them. However, because the player can't jump through the bottom of purple platforms, the very first jump onto the first purple platform requires a surprising amount of precision given how easy the rest of the game has been up to this point.
