Just to clarify things calmly from a dev perspective 🙂

We did use AI only during the visual mockup/concept phase (mainly for early exploration and placeholders).
There is no AI usage inside the actual game itself, no AI systems, no AI-generated gameplay content.

okay and why is that AI usage still not disclosed on the store page? It's a mandatory disclosure. If you're planning on waiting until after release to put the disclosure on the page so you can get more sales, that would be disgusting.

One, people deserve to know what is used in the process of things they consume no matter if it's free or paid. If someone doesn't want AI used in the developement of their games they should be told so they can not support it.

Two, if you lived in the vicinity of any data center that exist currently you would not be thinking AI is "the future".

That's a lie if you consume meat, which uses way more water in their lifecycle to meat production.

Also every other digital service hosted online uses water to cool datacenters, but it was never a problem until AI could create Art.

If the objective is to help some communities which would be disproportionately affected, that's fine and i agree. But this witch-hunt against the whole technology (which isn't going anywhere once that box is open), is dumb af. Especially if the person consumes other developments of society which uses the same or even more water but have a problem with this specific one.

Some people probably thought same as you as regards the internet when it first started. Its called progress, and progress can be good and bad ,or mixed.

AI as a tool i have no issue with , i do with stupid and/or fake videos all over the internet.

Out of curiosity: Is there a reason the pics on the steam store have not been changed out? Are you prevented from doing that? I'm not at all accusing but the images are clearly giving something of a bad impression, so if you have proper assets you could just swap the pictures, right? What am I missing?

How much water? probably a lot more than we calculate, but there are way worse water uses out there. Meat is certainly one of them but ... do you use cars? or do you use corn some how? the answer is always yes and then your water use goes out the understanding of most people.
