There is no online co-op because the team is primarily made of one guy. Not the easiest thing in the world to do. As for a similar game? There's Raging Justice. But it's not very good.

Fight'N Rage
Yeah, Raging Justice got a lot of updates, I think now it's good. Fight n Rage is also amazing. Also consider Fist Puncher, it's kind of hilarious, has that gonzo early 00's style.

Fight N Rage, Double Dragon Neon, Mother Russia Bleeds, Castle Crashers, the Capcom beat em up bundle, Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara are probably my favourites on Steam.

This one looks pretty much the same:

Additionally something that is a beat em too:

Or more retro:

Good list! I think I would second all of those, especially the first two.

I'd also keep an eye out for Streets of Rage IV when it comes out, and the original Sega Genesis games (Streets of Rage 1-3) are dirt cheap on Steam. Ditto for Golden Axe 1-3 (although those show their age a bit more than SoR, I think).

Double Dragon IV is good, old-school fun, but they never updated it and there's a fairly major save glitch that wipes progress for a lot of people.

Raging Justice is fairly lackluster despite the similar look, and it only received one or two updates several months ago. I wouldn't go more than a couple of bucks on it.
