Please don't do that. You have the internet. DVD drivers are so outdated. Please download drivers from your motherboard website and your GPU website.
There was a new Nvidia driver today released and optimized for this game. You should go download it.
Go to asus and download your chipset drivers. Go to realtek for your sound drivers.
Come back to us when you updated your drivers :D
I have a solution, that has worked in my case: First: I thought, that my system was up do date. I have all the latest drivers and updates installed, but unfortunately there are some api-ms-win-....dll files are missing.
Go directly in the steam folder, where the game ist located. Double click on the "re7.exe".
Look what error message do you got. In my case there are over 20 dlls are missing. If you got missing dll message, type the missing dll file on google.. ..may be: "api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll" go to one of the sites, where you can download the dlls. Do not download/use any programm offers like dll-fix or such crap.
I have used this dll-download site and it was very good: www.dllme.com. Copy the missing dlls manualy into your system32 and syswow64 folder.
For some of the dll files you have no rights to overwrite them but it is necessary to replace them.
Some of them are still installed, but invisible and not useable for the system - I don`t know why. Go to your folder options and set up to view all invisible system files. Than search for the dll file you could not replace. If your system has found it, click right on the dll and go to properties. Change the owner to administrator/username and click to full rights for read and write (short version) Than delete the files manualy and replace them with the new downloaded dll file for both folder.
any time you have got all dlls complete - the game starts and works fine.
I hope this would help!
Enjoy the game!
