Input not supported error

Whenever I try to launch the game it launches in a window then immediately goes fullscreen into a resolution higher than what my monitor supports. I've tried the launch option "-windowed" and tried modifying the config file of the game but the only thing saved there is the DirectX version. Does anyone else's config file have the commands for resolution by chance?

I have a fix. Start the game with a controller plugged in and after the game launches alt-tab out of it. The game should be running in a window and you should be able to see it. Use the controller to navigate to the options to change the resolution. Note: if you click the game window before setting the resolution to the correct setting, the game will return to fullscreen and you'll be back where you started.

My game just started doing the same thing but won't even recognize controller input.

If you go to the game's installation there's a file called re7_config. If yours was like mine it probably doesn't have all the stuff there yet. Here's what mine looks like now. You can paste it into yours or use it to set the game into windowed mode or whatever. Hope this helps
