Cannot Get Past Start Screen
I get to the screen that says "You cannot continue without a save game, create save now?" and prompts me to click yes or no. The thing is, I cannot select either of the options. "Yes" is highlighted, but it's like the game just freezes there and none of my inputs are registering.

I am running Win10, and have tried with my mouse / keyboard and a controller. Have verified files, run as admin, and restarted my computer just to double check all my options. I more than meet the minimum requirements to play.

Has anyone else had this issue yet, and if so how did you resolve it? I would appreciate any help!

Alt tab, then alt tab back in, fixed!

I attempted to do that, and it did not resolve the problem. The game is still not reading my input / is frozen on that screen.

Perhaps try alt + enter, this will go into windowed mode. Repeat to go back into fullscreen.

It switched the modes from window to fullscreen, but the issue still persists. Will not read my input on keyboard or controller so that I can select "yes".

When i experienced this issue. I just alt tabbed through the multiple windows to get to steam, repeated this for RE7 and wiggled my mouse. The cursor had a wee orange bit on it and allowed me to create the save. Sorry to see that you're having issues.

I don't even see my cursor on the RE7 screen. I'll keep trying though, the game's gotta eventually work.

unplug any game controllers you have plugged in
