Did anyone else feel like the final boss was underwhelming/easy?
When Eveline was in the form of a huge face in the attic, I died because I had no idea where to shoot. When I tried again I just placed 5 remote bombs and that was it for the attic section.

Then when she was in her final form I just continuously shot her with the machine gun until I saw the Albert and all it took was six shots for her to die.

The game was on normal difficulty. However I felt like the final boss (Eveline) was way too easy and short (about 2 mins). And that it was also a bit underwhelming compared to the build up to it (The Salt Mine) and when compared to all the other boss fights.

Does anyone else feel the same way?

Yup, one of the main complaints I've seen leveled at the entire ending sequence.
Seemed very rushed and 'modernized', like a glorified cutscene/QTE rather than a proper traditional RE boss fight.

Very disappointing.

Make final boss a pushover and second last boss fight in the main story the actual boss fight in terms of difficulty has been quite popular design decision, even in JRPG genre.

Now, problem with the final boss battle in the game is that if you don't do what the developers expect you to out of supposed fear, aka shooting her then it actually can pose a challenge until you get that you're just supposed to shoot her.

So yeah carefully aiming your shots to what you might think as weak spots is actually counter-productive. It's just hit the final boss even if it guards until it does down or it might get too many hits in.

Welcome to Resident Evil. In every final boss of the game there's always a powerful weapon for you to use against it.

This is my first. I was planning on playing Resi 4 and Resi 1 due to their success. Are they also like that?
running the gauntlet which ends with the two fat men is the real final boss. eveline is just a QTE ending cutscene really. the game didn't make me do any stupid QTE's until the end so i am fine with it. i hate QTE.
