saving zoe and mia analogy
if you saving zoe, you will recive the truth, in exchange losing everything.

but

if you saving mia, you will recive happyness and actually saving someone. in exchange you will not recive the truth. truth that woman you saved, doing some evil, and you will never know what happend.

but when saving zoey, its more logical. and i think its a good end. who want wife who plotting some controversial thing, and cutting your arms after 2 years gone.

If you mean the protagonist doesn't know what happened then yeah.

Obviously we as players get to know the truth when you choose Mia and find stuff by controlling her.

^ wow..
A bit hoity toity, presumptuous and arrogant there mate.
Maybe reel it back in a bit?

3% of people have found all the files in a playthrough, you can see this for yourself. You can't honestly expect everyone to just 'know' all the lore from those stats.
Furthermore it hardly makes it canonical and objective fact that Ethan found and read everything if they are missable like this.

I don't recall complaining about spoilers or anything of the sort.
Nice strawman, kind of an immature attitude you have there also. 'Suck it'? What is this, the 90's? Yeah ok X-pac.. -_-

Look mate all I'm saying is that you should try to be a bit more humble in your writing and stop trying to be this 'alpha' that looks their nose down at people for 'not finding 100% of all hidden collectibles'

and yes the 90's were great.
So even more suckit as a relic from back in a time when people still had real emotions.
And just spoke there mind, instead of always crawling in awkward positions to be liked by someone else.

I am so sorry i hurt your or other peoples feelings, because when i started typing all i really wanted was for you and others to like my comment.
All i wished for was an upvote Thumb Up.
Because as 90's person, i take Like and Thumb Up as a very serious thing.

Oh.......... no, wait...............
That are the 20th century people and the oldies that just mindlessly followed a hype.
Those care about insignificant things as social media and thumb up.
You know ?
Those people that want to say alot but only communicate through short sentences on social media. Assuming people fill iin the blank spots throughout all there messages and for some specifics even the blank spots in there minds.
i seriously could not care less about it or those people.

Maybe that is immediately what makes alot of those people miss the ability, patience or lack of interest to read anything that has more words then there average sad uninteresting incapacitated brain can handle in a Twitter feed tweet.

This game has story.
Those files are a crucial part of the story.

If you play as the game is supposed to be played you can find all the files in one playthorugh.
If you do not want to explore every room in the game, you will not find all files and it is your own fault.
And that is not arrogancy, but is just a fact.

These people started a thread about story events and speculate about the main characters.

Even if you missed ALL the files from the start until the Salt Mines.
The only crucial part to know what they were speculating about.
Was in 1 single room that you can NOT miss even if you would want to miss it.
You need to go through it to progress the game.
And finish the game.

Anyone that did not read them, did not just miss them.
They made the clear choice to not read them or just were not interested in reading them at all.
And anyone that was not interested in reading them.
Should not start a topic or thread and make speculations.

The fact they speculate about something without reading them is arrogant enough.
For me to make an arrogant comment about it
And that is meant to everyone that did not read at least those files in the salt mines room.
But still feels like he or she has to discuss about the story they did not care to read for themselves.

Again suck it some more.
I also have no problem being an arrogant person.
Because you know, i kind of like it.
Neither do i care about being what you collect to be a perfect mature comment.
And i absolutely do not need others to desperately like what i say.
Find me arrogant.
Great
At least i stand for what i am.
And i am honored it makes you feel like that.
All i wanted was to share what everyone could have read in the files telling the story
For you to see me as an alpha figure was the last thing on my mind.
But
Thanks ?
i guess ?

DO NOT READ IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO KNOW ANY SPOILERS.

Both we as player and Ethan as character will know the truth no matter who he chooses.
Because he reads all the files found in the Salt Mines at the end.
He does not even exactly have to know the part where we play mia and uncover the truth about her, that she does not even remember for herself at that moment.
Because what Ethan reads in the Salt Mine files for himself.
Is enough to know the truth, wether it includes every detail about the operation aboard the ship or not.
The facts are clear !
She is part of a project and testing subject.
It is not just us that reads the files, it is us that reads the files because Ethan is reading them.
Including the laptop in the salt mines.

When choosing Mia, Ethan just doesn't know for sure that mia was hiding something.
Until he reads what it was exactly in the salt mines and that she was part of an secret operation.
Even that the test subject eveline refers to mia as her mother.
And refers to others as father or mother at some other parts.
But mia was something higher in her eyes then for example ma baker.
MA BAKER. LOL.

It just did not get confirmed, but he already suspected from the start she was hiding something from him.

It is not mia's fault because she does not remember it as side effect of the infection.
It was dumb of her to not be honest, her biggest crime is not being honest to Ethan from the start.
Wether it is the job's purpose to not tell details to anyone, wether it is family her husband or whoever else.
She should have been honest anyway because it could have made a difference at some points.
The fact she never tol Ethan the truth before leaving 3 years ago.
Shows that at some point she did nto trust ethan enough to tell it.
Or in some way must have felt that he could jeopardize the operation.
Maybe she did not want to worry Ethan before leaving.
Or maybe she expected him to tell her to quit the job.
Maybe she did not even know what to expect exactly herself before leaving.
Maybe she did nto want to tell it because she could be scared Etahn would be leaving her and divorce her.
And any other option that could be the case the fact remains that honesty could have made a difference, just like honesty can make the difference in real life most of the times.

However she only remembers it clearly after the old tape shown to her by eveline which is after you made the choice. And after you got the chance to speak to ethan about it.
Thats why when she says she does not remember and tells everything she knows at that moment she is being honest.

So yes those files include mia's name and the fact that she is part of the tests.
Just as much as all other details.
And ethan reads those final files, not mia. And not just us as players of the game.
Eveline reveals the rest to Ethan and to us during the final fights.

When choosing Zoe, it is confirmed to Ethan that mia and the girl caused it way before he reads the files in the salt mine.
But even though it get's confirmed.
Zoe does not specifically know or tells what mia is actually hiding.
Just that she has something to do with it along with eveline.
All you did was show mia that you don't trust her.
And that while she really does not remember everything as side effect of the infection.
Choosing Zoe just shows you do not trust mia.

If you look at the emotions as far as the ability to reflect facial expressions can go in computer technology nowadays.
You can see It in her eyes and facial + posture expressions on the moment of your choice.
You can even see Zoe is much more relaxed and willing to accept her faith.
Maybe even a little disappointment and angry at the same time because she knows
Ethan would choose for Mia because of being his girlfriend.
While she also knows Ethan does not know the facts that she caused a part of it at that moment yet.

Thats why Mia = ending 1
and Zoe is ending 2.
Because after you know the facts that ethan reads in the salt mine.
On a second playthorugh you can look at the situation in a diffrent backdrop.
And you are probably more eager or understanding to give the cure to zoe because she is more victim then mia.
Don't get me wrong both are victims in the end, but during these circumstances, mia would be the right person to take the blame.
For mia it could be seen as the danger in her job, and she probably agreed with that danger when being part of such an operation.

But looking at Mia during that scene, she is panicking trembling with tears in her eyes, both because she knows that she caused a great part of this to zoe and the rest of the baker family.
She see's herself as part of the problem even though she does not completely remember everything at that moment.
The scene looks like, deep inside she knows something that zoe or Ethan does not.
You just do not exactly know what yet.
This gam is that great.

Basically she feels like she does not deserve the cure but zoe does more then her.
The fact is the cure does not fix anything at all.
Not for zoe and not for Mia.
But no one knows that or remembers it on that very moment.

Thats why to really fix the problem is to cure Eveline with her own E-001 body tissue.
And release Mia of her control.

What happens to the baker family and zoe, is not completely clear.
Do they survive like mia after Eveline is destroyed.
Or are they all dead including zoe ?

Anyway the choice scene is a superb great piece of gaming.
The realism in the faces, posture, and the sound effects.
The interaction of mia and zoe between each other when you change your look to either of them is very very realistic.

This generation of Graphics, is so much more close to reality then gaming has ever been before.

It makes this game a superb experience.
It really feels that realistic.
And is much closer to a real movie then i have seen in any game so far.
Shame that Mia is his wife then and not his girlfriend like you seem to think, you arrogant ♥♥♥♥!
