I hate the molded, so much.

I just got Re7 back after convincing my mom to let me buy it, (it got taken off my Xbox account). I remember having my frustrations about it, and many of those resurfaced, but I figured I'd get over most of it.



IM NOT OVER THE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ MOLDED.


On every. Single. Fundamental level, these THINGS are trash. Garbage, horrible. Their mere existence makes me question the RE fandom's collective sanity and intelligence for calling this game a master piece.


They're tanky, in a game that wags it's finger at you and tells you to conserve your ammo. That wouldn't be too bad, if Ethan didn't have the aim of a geriatric ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ grandma on her deathbed.


Oh wait, no, the grandma is still better ETHAN.



But you can avoid them, right?


Right?


NOPE! THEY CONSTANTLY SHOW UP IN VERY TIGHT CONFINED SPACES AND WILL ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ TELEPORT IF YOU ACTUALLY DO MANAGE TO AVOID THEM.

They're not even scary, the highlight of their entire existence is the End of Zoe dlc where your caving their vacant heads in with Joe's caveman fists.


You'd think their damage, on normal, would be managble at least.



Yeah no it's frustrating as always.


I wish I got this game on Steam, because at least then I could mod them out of the game entirely.

You shouldn't hate an enemy in a game. You should either fear them or enjoy fighting them because they're fun. The only scary thing about the molded is the loss of progress because of their bullcrap.

Basic Molded have a lot of overall health but you can easily pop their head as that has much less "sub-health."

(Bladed molded limbs and head have more health than basic but usually the same overall health).

All types of Molded losing their head die regardless of leftover torso/overall hp.

You can try to torso shoot a molded vs headshot and count how MUCH more ammo it takes.

2 enhanced handgun shots to the head will likely kill almost all basic molded.

The game does not tell you this recipe but gunpowder+10 handgun bullets=5 enhanced HG. bullets those deal triple damages.

A shotgun shell hitting with all pellets to the head will also instant kill the basic, four-legged, bladed molded regardless of dmg.

Once you learn their moveset you can even knife the "basic Molded" with just movement dodge and crouch dodge and only hit their head.

Their grab attack where they lounge forward with two hands can be crouched under.

The below likely works againts basic molded if you lack ammo have good healing supplies and need less skill than above dodging.

Knife the head, crouch if he attempts to grab, and do not attack the legs.
Once the grab anim is over, stand up keep knifing the head, and block the other attacks.
Blocking reduces most dmg by 75%.

This will likely kill him in less health loss than 1 unblocked hit but only works in 1vs 1.


A few more tips: Injectors that increase max hp(by 100) also heal you to the new max so best use them when you need healing.

When you are very low health and the screen is very bloody and you are out of combat.

Wait around 30 seconds you will auto generate up to 300 health points. (on madhouse difficulty.)

And heal after that so you have more health.

With just 300 hp you can likely block 2 hits from most molded.

Molded can not open closed doors.....

If you play on very high fps your melee weapons and enemy melee attacks can sometimes double hit.

So you can sometimes take double dmg even worse.

So keep that in mind.

They're slow and very easy to kill with headshots especially with a shotgun, and if you're looking for materials and ammo around the environment you should have more than enough bullets to deal with all of them unless, like I said, you suck and don't know how to play the game/have ♥♥♥♥♥♥ aim

Yeah, one I got some enhanced handgun ammo I breezes through the game. I used the regular ammo to kill a strong molded, then enhanced to kill a regular one in the room right before the are with the chainsaw fight.

idk the last time i was in the kids room i was low on ammo and didnt feel the need to kill the molded popping up so i ran past them

East trick is to turn around and close the door. It's an oversight on Capcom's part but it works.
