VR request again, because there's a rumorred PS5 patch

So there's a rumor from a supposedly reliable source [Link to Article][www.tomsguide.com] that there's a new patch coming down the pipe for RE7 to get a new XBox X/S and PS5 upgrade patch. I'd like to make my plea again that the PC get a VR patch. I own PSVR and an Index, and this game is one of my top games for PSVR. Would really love for this game get the PCVR treatment.

I realize that something like this almost assuredly will take more dev time and resources than a resolution bump patch on the consoles. I'd be fine with this being a DLC or even if they want to safely test the waters. Do a Kickstarter campaign. I'm sure Capcom has a pretty good idea of the cost required to make this happen. If that goal isn't reached, then nothing wasted or lost other than the time required to start the Kickstarter campaign.

It because the game was never meant to have it. This is speculation, but chances are what happened is Sony approached them near the end of development and asked them to put VR in the game, so it'll work with their PSVR system. Sony paid up and Capcom put the VR mode in the game last minute. I see no other reason Capcom would've put VR in the game otherwise.

Ah, I dunno. So much of the game feels like VR was in mind for a long time. Sony knew they were making a VR headset for a long time, and they would have been seeking deals for VR exclusivity for a while before we knew about it. I mean, "Kitchen" was shown in 2015, Capcom knew they were making a VR resident evil game back then and they would have had known a decent amount of time before then as well. considering development only started in 2014, it is most likely that it was intended to be a game with VR compatibility since development started.

Fair, I forgot that demo existed. I just felt like it was an afterthought with how sloppy the UI was for it. Like some button prompts are missing in VR, when in the inventory screen for example. And how you gotta turn your head a ton to see the entire inventory screen. Unless I remember the VR review of RE7 wrong. I watched one a while ago.

It's been probably a little over a year, but I own and have played RE7 on PSVR. The only problem I really had with the game was the pixelation. I have a PS4 Pro, and I'm not sure offhand RE7 ups anything for it, but either way that's the only issue I remember having with it. To me, it's one of the best VR games out there for PlayStation. And definitely a top game for VR overall.

Thousands of users are happy with it.
And how well it works with RE7 can be found on the Internet.

And of course it costs something, because you can not only play RE7 with it, but also hundreds of other games. But well, it's maybe nothing for greedy guys.
And there is enough documentation for the respective settings.

e: Suppose there is now an official VR patch.
It would not take 5 minutes for people to criticize its control or something else. Because it would be an old VR title and not like some modern VR games. And vorpx is keeping up with that very well.

This game was the reason I purchased VR for the PC. I was hoping, like most others, once the exclusivity ended there would be a VR patch.
I will not buy unless VR is added.

Those tags are user defined, so Capcom doesn't have to add VR because of it. As for removing it, I don't think that's an option?

A Kickstarter is a terrible idea, Capcom isn't some small indie publisher, they're a huge company and it would be extremely controversial.

Why would anyone pay for this as DLC when they simply didn't care for the pc vr community. It's the only reason why it ended up on my wishlist before it came out years ago. Sony is horrible.

and if it takes 10 years, and gets hacked together by the community, it WILL happen ;)

I dunno man, it's been 3 years already. No sign it's coming from Capcom, and if it were possible for someone to mod VR in it's likely that they would have done it already.
