How do I remove directx 9 ?
so i followed the instruction on youtube and download the directx 9 setup from microsoft for re7. I was missing xinput1.3.dll. I already have directx 12. Since I don't want to paly the game now, how do I remove it ?

There's nothing wrong with having DX 9 on your system, it was actually on Win10 from the beginning, if for eg you buy a game from GOG that requires DX 9, then it will install it, or more to the point *update it* Otherwise your graphics card will automatically use whatever DX version and api direct 3D/OpenGL a game requires. Other than doing a system restore for the dx9 that you put on, it's pointless. For example my GeForce GTX 1060 6gb supports win7/8.1 and 10 which means -as long as drivers support the OS - I can play it on Win7 64bit DX 11 and DX 9 games (which I do) and also install it on a Windows 10 DX 12 system. You will find d3dx9 in your system 32 and sysWOW64 folder along with d3d9,10 and 11.
