I still don't undersand how the End of Zoe gators work
And i'm going to stop you right there and say that I get the mechanic- they pop ou of the water and you have to hit them with a spear or a shotgun sho or a well-timed punch to get them out of your face.

What I don't get is
1. When i can hit them without them killing me
2. When i can hit them and they'll actually take damage
3. In Joe Must Die, they SOMETIMES take more than one spear to kill and sometimes don't. Why?

Anyone have any answers? Are they weaker when aggro'd? Are you supposed to avoid the gaotrs alltogether without using any throwable? It's really starting to get on my nerves.

1. If you want to punch the gators, it has to be with a well timed one-hit kill charged punch (at least on Normal) didn't try to punch them on Joe Must Die. Let them detect you and charge your punch so you hit them as they approach (releasing the attack too early or too latey will likely get you killed)

2. They take damage as long as they didn't already start their instant kill attack

3. It's probably scripted so that some of them will survive one spear.

Some gators can be avoided. Their visual range is actually pretty small. Try watching a "no weapons" playthrough, pretty sure they'll show how you can avoid any unnecessary gator fight.

Ok, thanks. I was theorising that they take more damage when hit in the mouth when they open it. I've figured out that avoiding a few is a good idea, too. Also never considered that they're simply buffed for reasons unknown. Unsure what to think about that.
