Crash when I exit start/main room to kitchen.
Mine keeps on crashing when I exit the start room and step into the kitchen hallway. (where you hear footsteps as you aproach the door at first) I've tried all high settings, medium, low and idk what is happening. I've searched and I found others having the same problem with AMD CPUs.
Specs:
AMD APU A4 6300 3.7Ghz
GTX 750Ti 2GB
8GB RAM
16:10 - 1440:900 (Ingame Resolution)

i had this exact same problemback when i played the demo. I just veryfied the game's cache, reinstalled both vc_redist exes in the game's directory and installed a new Nvidia driver. The problem was solved. Not sure which step did it though.

Stop playing a pirated copy. This was fixed after release in actual copies.

are you sure the fix only applied for phenom users? cause AMD APU's are a different issue. Phenom users can just download save files past the crash point and finish the game like normal. We AMD A4 can't get past the hallway after kitchen even save files don't work. So if you're right then I'll buy the game this new year

A4 doesn't say much. There's multiple generations of A4 just like there are i3's. If you're on an older one, then the apu is based on pre-fx architecture and lacks the SSSE3 instruction that was causing the crash. That instruction call was patched and fixed for any cpu that doesn't support SSSE3, not just old phenoms like mine.

Well, if you looked at the main topics' summary of this thread you will see about what type of CPU/APU we are talking about. (Close to AMD APU A4 6300)
THen according to your "stop playing on a pirated copy[...] was fixed after release", they never announced that. That sucks because there were a lot more players having this problem and it was only said that they were going to try to fix it but thats it. Even the new patch for the demo didnt fix it so i just gave up on it.

you mean even now it still doesn't work for AMD APU A4s? mine is A4-4000. This guy got it to work https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQ02opld94g either he is lying or just dumb. He claims that he overclocked his cpu and got the pirated version to work. I was like wtf? if it's the legit version i might've understand but... really?
here's the specs of my cpu http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Bulldozer/AMD-A4-Series%20A4-4000%20-%20AD4000OKA23HL%20-%20AD4000OKHLBOX.html
