some textures still look horrible

even on very high there are some absolutely appalling looking textures on some things. it seems quite silly to have "realistic" looking game but not even put decent textures on some things that will be right in front of your face. there is no excuse for these ultra low res blurry textures in any modern game.

I honestly feel that you are blowing this out of proportion. When I first played the demo, I was instantly taken back by how realistic the game looked, graphics-wise. I've never seen a game this photorealistic and grainy and dirty. As an example of a 2009 game, I bring to the table Demon's Souls:

When you put the two next to each other, you can't possibly say that RE7 looks like something from 7 years ago. The technology has leapt so far from 2009. I mean, look at the giant Demon compared to even the tiniest detail of the guy's forhead or eye glasses. It looks like it could be a dude from real life. I honestly just think you are being a crybaby at this point and I'm pretty much done having the conversation. You're being fairly unreasonable in your expectations. Trying being easier to please.

Minecraft textures are better in clarity. I was basically saying that these textures we're a muddy, blurry mess. Because they are. It's weak? They look like they're from skyrim without mods in 2011. That's a fact. Everyone is see-ing it.

Thanks for at least linking it, that's what I mean, it's extremely clear and honestly, if they are done well minecraft textures at 512x512 are crisp and nice to look at.

Question: Why are you defending the textures?

Why not just let us who are bothered by it ask for better textures and maybe they'll listen?
It's not like improving the game will make your experience worse.

In fact, the better textures would improve it. I almost guarantee you when you're outside in the full release without all the low light and filters we will see that the textures will be worse in areas, if they aren't improved.

Edit: They could even release an ultra HD texture pack for free on the steam store after it's initial launch so that us who seek better textures on our HD and even 2k or 4k monitors could have nicer textures to look at in our ultra detailed display's.

Also you act like I said the entire game looks bad, It looks amazing. All it needs is better textures on the walls, the desks, the chairs, the dolls, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ everywhere. I praise the other details yet the only failing aspect is so easily fixable.

I did and you are right the game is a bit clearer but the textures are still muddy (like you say), just like every steam screen shot passed around of them. I'm not trying to be an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about the textures but some people won't even argue with my arguements on asking them to either improve them or at least release a HD texture pack later. It's just textures, that's all they need to do to perfect the graphics in my opinion.

If they're going to make it first person, they need to put the effort into the textures because you will have your face pressed against them, a lot.

I wouldn't mind an optional HD Texture pack. I mean 6+GB VRAM cards do exist so lets take advantage of it!. It won't cost any performance, just VRAM.

ANd of course yeah have it completely optional so it doesn't hinder GPU's with 4GB VRAM and under.

I completely agree, and it's even a fact it would only cost vram. Worst it could get is stuttering on hard drives maybe on very low end systems but that's why they make it an HD texture pack, so that us high end users can enjoy higher end textures!

I am going to stop replying to you since clearly you can never admit you're wrong, I can admit I am obviously wrong on some parts but I am sticking my guns on the fact that they need to improve the texture quality for high end pc users because it's not that hard to do with a giant team, a single dude in a month can replace nearly all textures with 4k textures for skyrim special edition and fallout 4 why cant a giant developtment team do it as a free HD DLC?

Do you even know how long it would take for them to rework most of the textures to make a HD textures pack ? How about you pay the bill ? That would be around a couple hundred hours or more of pay to a undetermined number of people.
