However if we are forced to use a X-Input wrapper I will try to make a PS button mod for the game like I did for RE4, RE5 and RE6.

Good question , but i think not
It's not software native so the layout in-game is still just Xbox specific.
In fact, with Dead Rising 1 (which has native PS4 controller support), if you use the Steam PS4 option, it reverts to the Xbox button prompts.
We'll find out Monday.
Looks like I will be button modding this RE game too for my Dual Shock 4.
