Really annoyed me in the first playthrough when I get a new weapon and my fully loaded glock is just sitting there, meaning I have to use it and make sure I don't reload by accident.
But as CyroN said, it never really became an issue, still had enough ammo, and if you know what weapons you want to get on next playthroughs its easy to work around that, especially if you also know what enemies you want to kill and only load what you need.
I still think you should be able to unload weapons, I don't think its an enjoyable aspect to mastering the game, I think ammunition should be slightly scarcer, but able to freely move to new weapons without worrying about wasting ammo.
