That is a good question really i am puzzled also who he is. Any information about him is pretty much hes an mercenary but nothing more about him.
"Agent" is just a dummy character added to RE6 so people could play Ada's campaign coop, he doesn't really exist plot-wise.
He's like my favorite character in RE6.
If he is a dummy character, I want to know why he even has voice lines.
He has the basic voice lines (go, come on, thanks, help, etc.) so people using him can communicate with other players.
I have read somewhere, that they actually wanted the third game in the series to be focused on him investigating (for Umbreall of course) an outbreak on some Cruise Ship.
Yeah, but that's Hunk you're talking about, not Agent. Hunk is actually a plot character during the events of RE2 (not so in RE4 and RER). Agent from RE6 is just a "ghost" added for gameplay purposes (allowing coop on Ada's campaign)
My logic behind Agent; when he teleports to Ada after she grapples, he grapples after her, but it doesn't show him doing it and it skips past it. He doesn't show in cutscenes because he is either in the background of the cutscene where you can't see him, or that cutscene just isn’t canon, and a completely different one happens in the real story where you can see Agent as well, and he even speaks, but you don't see those cutscenes. When Chris and Piers see Ada, and she runs into a door, that doesn't actually happen, what really happens is the same thing except Agent is there with her and takes off into the ship when she opens the door.
Not to mention, he does appear in some cutscenes and events, like when he get's killed by chainsaw dude, in an elevator on chapter 2, and when Ada shoots this thing off a crane to help Jake and Sherry with chainsaw dude.
"Come to daddy....."
