Konami Silent hill dejavu?

So now capcom is ripping off silent hill and still calls it Resident Evil?
Enought murdering RE name maybe? its long dead and rotten.

Capcom was experimenting with resident evil when !!!ACTION!!! game hype hit and they instantly went for it. Even know they failed multiple times they still went on chasing action drivent games saying "We need even more action in a next Resident Evil"

Then a rival company ripped off original resident evil formula with extreem success, making an epic trilogy, igniting a come back of horror games to the market. Meanwhile capcom woke up and started poking back to horror but to afraid to let go of action even know action hype was fading and resident evil was not doing as good as modern warfare.

So now action games hype prety mutch faded, rivals got they share of horror games profits, Capcom finaly let go of action but too afraid to make a bad move. Who to follow?Need another hype train. Maybe Insane hype over Silent Hill demo? yeh lets do that, we can freeride in silent hill marketing effort. And consumer market reasearch is already done. Seems like a good way to go.....

and it is... shamefull but a good way. in my oppinion. I would change a name to start fresh instead of trying to poke dead horse.
Do you think RE7 is exactly where it needs to be?

Yeah-yeah, RE7 is Silent Hills rip-off, which even isn't a game. And Silent Hills is Outlast rip-off, which is Amnesia rip-off. Everything makes sense...

This is definitely like silent hill, the horror i felt playing that was surreal. See this is creepy because we know nothing of the plot and its mysterious, silent hill no matter what you kow of the plot it never really explains anything and retains its creepy factor. I bet you RE7 will lose its hooror feel once we dell deep into the game but will still be good.

What does it matter i mean the original silient hill is nothing more then a RE clone. its a game unless its the first time its been done your copying someone. edit: i feel just saying clone is a bit damning the differnce between silent hill and re is atmosphere and how they go about trying to scare you other then that it took all of RE gameplay mechanics.

Yes in the end it doesnt matter. Quality product is what everyone is after.

Even if we can suppose somehow, that RE7 took some formula of P.T. (although there are facts against it), I can assume, it does very same thing Silent Hill actually did back in 1998, being actually a rip-off of RE1 with 3D locations and psychological plot.

I don't want to take the defense of Capcom but Resident 7 was already in development when PT was shown to the public, ok maybe they have being inspired and adjusted some details but still.

Going to be the best in the series since RE4
