You can't put logic here with SWATs and armies invading the area. Otherwise we would get another RE6 crapfest fiasco. I'm sure no one wants that.

With that fire power, maybe it would be enough to bring down Jack or even Eve?
I know Ethan used serum to kill Jack and used the toxin to make Eve expose her weakness. But I'm thinking about Maggie. Ethan did kill Maggie without any serum or toxin. Maggie can be killed with small arms, so the stronger infected like Jack can be killed with fire power like National Guard maybe?

It was a strange scene. Ethan's face would have been massively messed up too which would have given more credit to his story, but even though Ethan's face was messed up and his hand stapled back on, the bloody rozzer carried on like it was just a routine check.

Can't apply real life logic to a cheesy Japanese horror though. We got a really bloody good cheesy Japanese horror game out of it.

Guys chill out, he has a point. Jack mutilated his hand and face, all he had to do was show the cop and he would have called for back up. Regardless or not if the police were able to take down Eveline or not, they would have undoubtedly been backed up by reinforcements (swat, military, bsaa). Not to mention, Ethan takes down the entire Baker family practically on his own, if he had a dozen cops with him Jack would have been calling Ethan daddy.
