Toy shotgun and axe?

Minor spoilers ahead:
I've finished game, but didn't found any use to toy axe and toy shotgun. Most probably, toy shotgun can be used to replace broken shotgun, which can be fixed with repair kit. But even if so, what about toy axe? What is use for it?

good question tho i didnt find out anythin either, just that with using the toy shotgun you can have two shotguns considering you get one of the repair kits

You can get 2 weapon repair kits in the game and if you use the toy shotgun where you put the broke one you can fix that one instead/aswell as the broken pistol. It is a 2 shot version with more damage and less spread. Really good if you ask me.

The axe is used behind some bushes to the left when you go out on the courtyard.
