sRGB or BT.709?
So guys... which one looks better in your opinion? Is there any "technological" advantage of one over other?

I'm a little undecided.

To me BT.709 looks more dark, the shadows looks better.
But sRGB looks more natural, looks more like "real life".

What do you guys think?

sRGB is a higher color space and more accurate Luma/Chroma; or brightness to darkness greyscale and color spectrum. sRGB is the best setting for color calibrated displays, IPS, present day TN panels, or even user configured properties (.ICC et cetera). 709 was designed to utlize CRT-like displays (tube).

For today's market, sRGB is the standard spectrum for measuring the accuracy and quality of the color capabilities of a display. Colormeters, and calibration software is built around the standard of sRGB (Adobe RGB).

EDIT: I should also add, that sRGB is linear in a sense. So the scale for color ranges are "fixed" to a percentage set by the producer of the images being displayed. EXAMPLE: R=6.5, B=5.7, G=6.2. These values are determined of a curve to establish usable and visable color ranges for an image.

In other words, if you want to see the game as designed by the developer; always use sRGB, for both display properties and software (where offered).

Wow, that's what I'm talking about! Technical information. I didn't find a very clear answer in nowhere when I googled it.
Many thanks for all the explanation! Was very helpful.

I'll stay with sRGB.
