Right your pirody is to get that. You need to get it from a bathroom on the second floor. Go to the second floor from the main hall... where the old lady will be sitting enter that door and take a left. then go straight on, don't go through the door on the right, again keep going straight on then you'll see a door that'll take you to a bathroom.
Right you need that statue peice thingy that looks like it's part of a clock. Its part of the projector that you see when you explore the main hall briefly.
You place it back where you place the broken shotgun to get the first shotgun, when you place the wooden shotgun on the statue. You'll get the broken shotgun, you need to find a repair kit then you'll get a shotgun that is twice as powerful than the current one.
Scorpion key I got I used it on another door. I didn't know I needed it for that.
And of course this is the only place in existence that has keys that vanish after a single use.
So I got to the dissection room boss with 8 rounds for the glock, a lock knife, and a lot of rage-quitting.
Done with this piece of ♥♥♥♥ game now.
The Scorpion key doesn't disappear, even after you unlock all the doors it's for. Same for the Crow and Snake keys. All other keys you find have one use, that's why they disappear. They aren't needed beyond the door they're meant for. As for the boss, attack him until he gets his chainsaw, then stun him with a body bag and grab the chainsaw that's left where he got his. Blocking is really important. You will have a super hard time beating him without the chainsaw, and even if you did you need to use it on the door to leave anyways.
I used the scorpion key and it opened a completely useless door to the left of the one with the broken shotgun. It was a useless door because I could get to it by going around and through the basement anyway.
And after I used it, it is now gone. That's why I can't get the other shotgun out. The key is gone from my inventory
It's not moved around in your inventory either, it's straight gone?
I didn't notice it at first, not until later when I realised the lockpick also is single use only. I used the lockpick to open a stupid box that ended up with just 2 shotgun shells in it. Then shortly after I noticed the lockpick gone so I was looking and counting which keys I still have. I had the dog crest thing for the main door (just one of them so far), I had just used the incinerator key I believe not long before, so that was gone, and the scorpion key was also gone.
I had definitely not discarded it. I only discarded a single thing so far to make room, and that was some gunpowder.
If you're saying that it was maybe a glitch, then I might go back. But if I have to go back to before going through that basement, I won't be going on, because that basement was just terrible. Not a single enjoyable moment in there, with those terrible and ridiculous swamp monster zombie things. Especially the last part, where like 5 of them appear, taking up to 6 rounds to the head to kill when I only had 20 rounds anyway.
Took me well over an hour to get through that basement, dying and reloading. Not a chance I am doing it again, it was just too much hard work and zero fun.
Also, if the rest of the game is going to be like this now, just generic zombie shooting but with little-to-no ammo, then I'm not too bothered about going back anyway.
