Did you put Antialiasing on SMAA?

Focus on the anti-aliasing options and try FXAA.

FXAA makes it blurry don't do that
FXAA is sharp as hell my end. It all depends of the users rig. Tweaking the AA options is the only way the OP will remove this though.

The problem is the "Chromatic Aberration" try to turn off this setting.
Lostedge Jan 24, 2017 @ 8:50am
Nah, the problem is that you have Interlaced on, or resolution scaling at low.

Keeping resolution scaling at 1 with 1080p resolution will make it blurry.

If you want to crisp the image you need to up your resolution scaling to 2 or run 4k . And use smaa instead.

Try Reshade.. I gave it a try and it definitely made a difference.

- DL from reshade.me and run it
- Choose the re7.exe from the installation path
- In the installable plugins when installing, choose Adaptive Sharpening and HDR
- Run the game
- In game (wait until you are playing) hit the TAB button to open your inventory otherwise you can't control the reshade menu
- Hit Shift F2 to bring up the menu and proceed with the "tutorial" where you can set up the plugins
- It'll ask to name the preset, name it whatever.
- Enable both the HDR and Adaptive Sharpening plugins. HDR doesnt require any changing of values, but Sharpening does
- Ctrl-Left Click the Adaptive Sharpening value when asked to (it's set to 1.0) and change it to 2.0
- You may need to turn up the brightness a bit because of the HDR.

Sorry if the steps are a bit out of order, I was just doing them by memory.

ok i found best reshade setting for 980 ti and 107x+ cards.

in reshade.me :
- adaptive sharpening 2.0
- colourfulness
- finesharp.fx mode 1

in game:

everything maxed out
shadow cache off
resolution scaling 1.0
Anti Aliasing TAA
Motion Blur Off
Depth Of Field Off

in 1440p you stay rocksolid on 70fps+

enjoy

I'm using TAA + ReShade with LumaSharpen (1.5 and 0.04 for the first and second parameters). It's looking a lot better than any of the AA options alone.

The only problem with TAA is that, under certain conditions of lighting, you can notice a slight flickering that makes it feel like the screen is vibrating a little bit. You have to pay a lot of attention to notice this though.

Many thanks! Scaling to 2 worked like a charm.

Scaling to 2 also worked out ALOT better for the environment.
I am currently sitting on a new 1080 GTX Strix graphics card and picked up Not a Hero after finishing the main game several months ago and were appalled at how sh*tty the graphics looked.

The weapon model looks jagged, but I guess I can live with that for another 30 min (heard the DLC is about 1 hour).

Thanks!
