Mia's hair (technical, no spoilers)
So Mia's hair is unfathomably distracting. It's pixelated and looks oddly low-res. It's seriously bugging me. Changed AA settings to see if it would help and it doesn't. Don't know if this is just something I have to live with or if I'm missing a setting somewhere.

ikr it looks a bit crap, guess when they were making the game the hair wasn't their first priority.

It's more like they tried too hard to make it look realistic. It's not that bad really.

See I've seen screenshots of what your talking about and I'm not getting it.

The hair in my game doesn't look nearly as bad as the pictures I've seen.

Maybe a bug?

It's only bad in the early sections when you're seeing her in frame and she's moving slowly. Later on its not nearly as bad (trying not to spoil here)

It was fairly bad for me whereas everything else has been fine also. I had similar issues with MGSV: Phantom Pain. Still one of the most beautiful games out there, but the hair (especially of the facial variety) looks like absolute garbage. My guess is we just aren't quite there yet with these newer engines that otherwise provide super high res details.

Absolutely. I'm maxing everything except shadows, and it looks magnificent, which is why the hair really snapped me out of it. Not a big deal by any means, just such a jarring departure from the rest of the graphics.

granted I'm only new to the game,
and while its not Lara's hair in Rise of the Tomb Raider...
It serves its purpose and looks alright.
Remember this was a console game first....
look at the graphics settings..... it was a console game first...
not a knock, just saying...
