The black screen of nothing
The game does not want to start! It just shows the black screen and nothing happens. Does anyone else?

Demo played perfectly.

I am having the same issue, if you hit ALT + TAB you will see the game. When you click on it, it will go to a black screen and my asus monitor says "out of range". If I click "F" for options, etc, while the screen is black, then I ALT + TAB again, you will see the game and notice that you are now in the options menu. I can not get to the video options to try and force a resolution, nor the does config file in its location have anything but a Direct X option to launch with. I even tried adding a steam launch command for -fullscreen and specified to run in 1920x1080.

Nothing is working. I would really like to get it up and running. I will let everyone know if I find a solution.

Update your video drivers first off. Seems to me like windows 10 is the common link with everyones problems. Ampedout sing out if the new drivers work!

Interesting. Need all the details to work out the variables though. Maybe different windows versions don't matter, just seems like most are 10

The first thing that I tried was restarting the PC. Updating to the latest Nvidia drivers has not helped. I have selected to run the application as an administrator, nothing. I have set compatibility mode for Windows 7 as well as 8 and still, nothing.

Still just black screen? Any sound? Compatability mode is a load of ♥♥♥♥ half the time anyway. Sounds dumb but pushed all the usual buttons while at the black screen?

SOLUTION: Enter Nvidia Geforce Experience (you will need to provide an email, I know it is lame.) Then update your games list. It will show you RE7. Click on "Details" on the game. Optimize the game, then choose to edit the options yourself. Change it from "Fullscreen" to "Windowed". Save, then hit "Play" Game. It will not work in windows mode.

Ill be back to see if I can get it in fullscreen from this point on.

Once you are in the game, on the typwriter, move the selector down to Options, below the "More" setting. Once in there, on the "Graphics" area, change the "Windowed" option to "Borderless Window". Then click the "right moust button".
