someone needs some green herbs
So I, for one, have absolutely no issue paying full price for this game. Its like people seem to forget that games have cost pretty much the exact same price for the past 20 years, with barely ANY adjustment for inflation.... That would be all well and good, except for the fact that the development of games has gone from a few hundred thousand at most, to multi millions of dollars, and teams of 5-20 to now requiring teams of sometimes hundreds.
I love the hobby of gaming, and I have absolutely no issue supporting the people who make the games I love.
anyway, thats my rant for the day.
I'm not saying it's inherently a bad thing or excusing a game for being "only" ten hours long but I'd much rather a game be entertaining for those ten hours than stretch itself too thin.
which is exactly what RE7 is.....repetitive. literally every area is a cookie cutter repeat of the previous, down to the exact way it plays out.
step 1: enter area
step 2: invincible NPC chase
step 3: find key
step 4: do shadow puzzle
step 5: move onto next area
That's literally the whole game.
However it seems like you failed to understand the meaning behind my post of how a game can overstay its welcome. I enjoyed Alien: Isolation but there wasn't enough in there to keep me entertained and near the end I just wanted to complete it for the sake of completing it. Either way Alien: Isolation is pretty good.
Nothing else out. This game looked fine for $60. I could go rock climb 3.75 times, but I have a membership and my own gear. I could go scuba, but I paid $7500 for gear and drysuit over time, so it's $6 air and an ocean or lake, which is a drive and not really feasible for on the spot doing at night... I could go to the race track, but lol @ fuel and track admission. I could see 3 movies in the theater or so... Ummm, porn maybe? Free? Girlfriend...? Generally free, until we do fun things (some fun things free)...
Or I could sit there and do like 3 or 4 playthroughs, get about 10 hours per play through or less if I try to speed run it and get decent times (plus many more play throughs) for $60.
I've been dealing with bugs since I started PC gaming at 10. I'll be fine.
