"Following Items are not available for purchase in your region"
Kinda wondering if anyone else is experiencing this.
I preordered from CDKEY#S and received my key recently. When trying to activate it I received a message, as the title shows "Sorry, but the following items are not available for purchase in this country. Your purchase has been cancelled."
Now, at first I thought that RE7 is banned in my region, but no, it's actually available for preorder on my Steam store.
I contacted their (CDKEY#S) support but the point of this thread is, I wanted to see if anyone else experienced this. This is the first time I ever run into something like this.

Did you contact Steam's support or CDKey's support? Because CDKey's support would probably be more helpful.

You could have a key that belongs to a different region, just because RE7 is available on steam to you, doesn't mean the version you bought from thing is your regions equivalent.

Edited my post to be more clear about this - I contacted CDKey's support.

That was my first thought. In the email I sent to CDKey's support I asked if the key I received was global.

Well, good luck, the few times I've contacted those sites "Support" when I had a problem they've basically told me to piss off :P

"Hi,

Thanks for your email.

Upon checking the code has sent to your mail only which is valid and unused. Can you please reboot your PC and try again to redeem the code in your account.

Please let us know if there is anything else that we can assist with.

Kind Regards,"

As funny a suggestion that is, I played along and gave it a shot, of course it didn't work, which I reported to them shortly after.
Still kinda surprised with how fast they responded.

That's not that far from what I just mentioned, lol.

They gave me a refund yesterday because they said the keys they have are region locked and cannot be used. The only thing you can buy from them that's not region locked is the deluxe version so they gave me a voucher in addition to the already reduced price making it 48 bucks for the deluxe.

As usual their support is great for me. I don't know what that BS is about them having poor support because I've never had them treat me anything but great over the years.

So you've been through the same thing with your key? Delighted to hear I'm not alone.

you need to wait until it's released tomorrow

Why even post when you have no clue what you're talking about?

No not to redeem the game's code. The cd keys are tied to regions and OP obviously got one for a different region.

They ordinarily provide keys valid for EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa). Are you perhaps external to these regions?

The key was originally listed as a global key. Something happened the last few days and apparently the only keys they could get for the base game turned out to be region locked.

You should probably call them instead. Emailing customer support on any website is almost always slow and pointless.
