Advice for beating 21 on Survival +

Ayone has some good advice on what card combos to use or how to bypass the bs moves like black magic or oblivion ? I seem to hit a brick wall midway on the 5th opponent :O

Save up some 'Destroy' trump cards.
As for 'Oblivion' it's not much trouble. On my playthroughs only final enemy could use that and only once per game. It's not like that enemy can use that every time he loses.

if you have any kind of strategic mind and thought, like almost every gamer should have, you should be able to tell what you need instantly. the whole 21 mode is all about the trump cards, nothing else. use the destroy cards on his "game over i win"-cards, overdraw and flip your high card to him to make him go over etc, all totally basic stuff.

I did it :O but you absolutely need to clear survival perfectly and use those 15 trump cards in one round in order to get all the stuff to beat it. Its actually quite challenging and well optimized. Kudos to capcom for delivering such a challenging and well thought out mini game. By the way I didnt encounter mister big head at all :/

first of all you need to clear survival difficulty perfectly (its doable don't loose heart, its just 5 opponents and only the fifth one is a pain)

then you absoluteley need to unlock that reward for using 15 or more trump cards in one single round called Trump Card Switch+

Basically try to pause the video at 1:43 and try to collect similar cards as the ones in the video and also make sure they are 15 and you actually finish the round by killing the opponent, dont worry it will take some rounds and time but its doable ^^

and finally once you are ready and have the trump switch+ you are truly ready for Survival+

I really wish you could save your progress in this. Survival+ is super tedious.

Yes its pretty tense without saving but the game gives you enough trump cards to bend the luck in your favor. If you play the game a lot you will get a very good feel for evey opponent. My big advice is to save up trump cards in the first 2-3 encounters, then stack up assault cards to wipe out dangerous opponents in one go and also use destroy a lot to cancel the nasty stuff like mind switch or 17. sometimes the AI goes over 21 or the later ones near 21 when they do jjust exchange a high card like 10 or 11 from your deck to send them to the grave, also remember, once they do have a 21 they automatically loose. And last but not least try to finish survival mode without loosing a single finger and definitely unlock the trump switch+ reward by using 15 cards or above in a single round and kill the opponent in that round to get it. Just do it on the first encounter of survival+ and reset if you mess up. Be patient and play a lot to get the hang out of it, peace out ^^

I finished an entire season of Sopranos beating this. I didn't die once, just caught in like 20 different A.I. loops until the game finally gave me the right trump cards. Jesus Christ.

Just keep in mind that 1-11 only appear once. If you don't have a lot of trump cards unlocked then you can utilize the draw X cards to guess what your opponent has or just keep getting 21's.

If you have a lot of trump cards unlocked, save at least one destroy++, perfect draw+ and 3 bet(standard or +) to just insta the final 1.

Outside of that farm trump cards on the first guy by getting him to 8-9 first. He seems to get a unlimited supply of shields once he's this high and for the most part the AI plays fair so they won't draw if they have 15+. Once you're at capacity or one less from max, then use up bet cards (draws additional trump) to keep your trump supply near max. This allows you to be able to make it through the rest of the 9 enemies with somewhat of ease.

It is not possible to defeat 10 opponents in a row yet. It turned out only 7. Or I don't have enough luck, I've already had a lot of attempts

Got this first try after coming back to the game like half a year later. I saved the destroy cards like someone here recommended and I think that really helped. I already had 11/15 of the cards so I think that also helped as well, and obviously a bit of luck. The last opponent was easier than some of the prior ones.

TL;DR Luck, destroy cards, and prior upgraded cards are basically what you need to make this happen.

I just beat it, and it was a pain in the ass, i oneshotted the final boss with the DestroyCard++ so he couldn't block it and charged it with the perfectdraw+ cards but the best you can do is to save some cards for the end, because if you let him play his game you're pretty much screwed, i reached the end boss 3 times and lost because of that.

Oh yeah i remember this one was hard, not so hard as Silent Hill 2 10 stars which is insane but still pretty hard. Congratulations to everyone who had the patience to beat this!
