Camera man Clancy VS Ethan Winters *SPOILERS*

Does anyone else think that Clancy is sorta way more badass than Ethan and if he was swapped with the place of Ethan he would do a lot better? I mean think about it, in Nightmare Clancy regularly fights off hordes of Molded in numbers that Ethan is far less use to. He even has 2 fights with Jack, one of which he has the Molded accompanying him! Even having the technical know-how and tactics to place his own traps, set-up turrets and even craft a lot more stuff than Ethan.

It's a shame that he met his end in a game of wits, however even in death he saves Ethan's life as without watching the tape of Clancy's death Ethan would never have known the password for the door to get out of the room without triggering the fire. Clancy is the real hero here.

Nightmare seems more like a "what if" story because Clancy never actually escaped in the true canon story.

I don't believe he actually escapes at the end of nightmare. I could have sworn that after the events of nightmare when it shows the door open, he then leaves the house and instead gets captured by Lucas and taken to his part of the baker estate where 21 begins. At the end of that Lucas says "We are gonna play another game" which is when "Happy Birthday" takes place leading to Clancy's eventual demise

If you look at the VHS tapes, they'll tell you that Clancy was captured on June 1st and died in Happy Birthday on June 2nd.

That's his story, and the rest are just mini-games. If you look at the Nightmare (1_) and 21 (_3) dates, there's just no way they could fit. Only Bedroom could make sense.

Also, in Nightmare he defeats Jack twice, when we know by Zoe in the main story that Ethan was the first one who made it that far.
