the one advantage it has is the ammo count.
If playing madhouse difficulty go with the albert gun.
Although knife may have the same damage with normal pistol shot, but the fact is you don't need to get close to them, except you're pro with it (not me, never will be).
If you use the strong flued for normal ammo, it usually give you 5 enhanced ammo for each 10 normal ammo. Pretty fair, I think. I only use normal flued for first aid med and spend some of them for fuel to fight Margurette. After that, I just threw burner and focus on med.
Although Albert is people's favorout but not mine. I threw it away after the first time use and never intend to use it again. After all, it's your call to choose what weapons suit to you.
Albert 01r > M1911 > MPM > G17
In terms of fire rate and capacity
G17 > MPM > M1911 > Albert 01r
I prefer M1911 due to it having moderate firepower with managable fire rate and magazine size.
